If you have been made alive in Jesus, you have a hope that cannot be shaken. By God’s grace, you have died with Jesus (your sins paid for, and God’s wrath completely satisfied in Him), and you have been raised with Jesus (justified and freed from every eternal consequence of sin). The resurrected life is a life of godly assurance—a life that now lives to God through Jesus. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us! The life we now have in Jesus comes with resurrecting power!
As the Apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:14, if Christ had not been raised from the dead, our faith would be in vain. But let us praise God that Jesus was raised from the grave! Because of this truth, our faith is not in vain. Faith, which is a gift from God, sees Jesus as all-satisfying and, with God’s help, obeys Him.
Believer, because we have died with Jesus, been buried with Jesus, and been raised with Jesus, let us, even today and with God’s help, “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
